Dometic A/C condesate cup replacement
I am trying to replace my condensate collection cups on my Dometic A/C. I have dropped the inside cover and can not see the cups. Do I have to raise the unit on the top to see these? Anyone know where I can see a video on this replacement? I could not find one on Youtube, maybe not asking the right question.

The cups are outside the 14 x 14 gasket. I believe they are screwed to the bottom of the AC unit. I think the only way to replace them is to flip the unit over.

CRH, have you replaced these before? Just the two long bolts need to be removed to raise the unit off the roof?

I have not replaced cups before. I believe there are 4 bolts. IMO, you need to replace the gasket when you do the job.

Yes, I will get new gaskets for the units. Dometic does not make anything easy to service that has a tendency to break!!!!

I have re-lace a few of them. Take out the 4 bolts that hold the unit down. Raise the unit enough to work from underneath the unit. Wooden blocks work well for this.
BEST TIP: pant the cups with white spray paint before installing. This will help protect the cups from UV light from the sun which causes most of the damage.

Thanks for the info. What about the drain tube? AS says the end of the tube is located curbside (???) by the wheels on my 2010 Flying Cloud. Can't seem to find and condensate is dripping into the cabin. Thanks for any help.

On my Classic the factory misrouted the drain tube during assembly and left it behind the wheel well liner inside the wall. Later on, a tech noticed it, and drilled into the liner and fished out the drain tube. Yours could be hidden also. Trace the water trail. The drain pan over flowing may be because the tube is blocked some where actually causing the problem.

If you have a drip, why replace the cups? A quick fix on a unit that new would be to silicone caulk the hole/crack shut. If the drip is coming from elsewhere, get a bar of duck caulk works great.

Replaced the condensate cups
I replaced the condensate cups on my Dometic yesterday and all went well. I removed the unit from the roof and worked from the work surface on the ground. All went well, I had to cut all the wires except power and re-butt splice them. I did not see one BLUE wire was BLUE AND WHITE once I discovered I had them crossed and re-connected everything worked well. Not an easy job, I can not imagine working on this from the roof. Drains well today, I still have the rear A/C to do, am going to drop the inside cover and blow the lines from inside to make sure they are all clear. Now that I see how the cups work I can test them from the roof with water for proper drainage. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice on this project.

On our 2014 FC non-ducted AC I removed the inside shroud, removed the four long bolts, cut the wires or unplugged them if possible, placed some thick foam between the AC and roof, and slid the AC so I could get to each of the cups two screws to remove. Not a difficult job. I placed a second foam gasket since it was suggested.
