Delay on DUOtherm control

Howdy!
Our 1999 DuoTherm thermostat seems to be quirky...

When you press buttons, it doesn't react immediately.. sometimes you have to hold buttons for an extended time..several seconds, then it 'might' change...

Anyone see this behavior.. normal? Well, as 'normal' as it can be ??

Thanks in advance!

Hello Channing! I have the same problem with mine. It seems the contacts don't work so well these days.

I'm looking to upgrade mine before winter if I can find a replacement.

Hey Guys: We had same issue a year ago and found the replacement quite painless. Look on E-bay for your thermostat. The fellow that sells them is very user friendly and honest. He is a retired techno from DuoTherm and he rebuilds and supplys them back to the market. I contacted him he sent 1 overnight, prepaid freight. It was a faulty unit and I called him, he apologized and said the next ones in the mail. It was and showed up within a day or two. Worked perfectly. He even walked me through hooking it up myself. It is a very friendly system and is different than a new system of today. You have 2 know if you have multiple zones and AC's etc. The cost was around $100 last year. You do have to send yours back to him in the prepaid package. Very user friendly. Ron
