Coleman Mach Heat Strip

My coleman ac unit has a heat setting on it and it seems to work ok, but its not hot. It also seems to be warm on one side, by that I mean, half the side of the ducts on each side, the other half seems to blow cold. I dont have the original owners manual, so are there 2 heat strips in this thing, and should it blow hot?

No, it's not suppose to blow hot. From what I remember it is less then 1000 watts of heat and one that I had the heat strip was along one side so yes it was only suppose to blow heat from half the duct on each side.

A cheap 1500 watt heater puts out more heat and is much quieter.

Thanks Wazbro, I'm glad I asked before I started tearing it apart. Lol. I do have a small heater that I will bring along. Safe travels.

I agree. The heat strip on our trailer is not worth turning on. We carry a small heater.
