airstream westfalia espar airtronic diesel aux heater locked out

Hello all -
My 2005 Airstream Westfalia has the diesel powered Airtronic auxilliary heater which according to Randy at Airstream Customer Service has locked itself out on the control board after three failed attempts at starting - we were on a 5000 mile / 15 day road trip and were camping at over 9000 feet ( it was 46 degrees outside so we asked our Westy for some heat - well the unit started then stopped - so I turned it off and then asked again ....third time same thing.....)
SO , I'm pretty sure that the unit is locked out as the manual says and Randy at Airstream said this can only be reset by an Authorized Airstream Service Center --- I live in North East Alabama and there are no repair centers even close - I've called the two dealers within 4 hours of me and both seem to think I'm speaking German when I say I have a Westfalia - they've never seen one and have no idea what is needed to fix / reset the Airtronic heater control board / mother board .
Anyone have any suggestions or experience with this problem?
Thank you in advance for your replies.

We're gonna need some pictures from this trip!

He won't respond in threads. I would suggest you PM lewster. He'll probably be able to understand your issue.

Darren:

Espar, a German company, runs North America out of Mississauga, near Toronto.

Here’s their site:

Espar - Dealer U.S. - Vehicle

Open Alabama on the dealers page and you’ll find service centers in Birmingham, Montgomery and Dothan.

This is the information Airstream should be giving you.

My all-diesel Airstream ARGOSY is powered by a Webasto coolant heating system and I have a Webasto diesel cook top as well.

Espar and Webasto, both German companies, make air and coolant heaters that are almost exactly the same.

Somewhere in my long main thread you can find lots of pictures and information on my Diesel Powered Trailer if you are interested:

All the best,

Thanks Sergei,
I'll call them on Monday.
I'll post an update when I have one.
