Air conditioner shroud

We've repaired a hole in the cover with fiberglass. The question now is...what color to paint it? Original white or silver?

In TX: white will keep more heat out of the A/C, making it run just slightly more efficiently than silver - the biggest single factor is your personal preference

I've considered painting mine the color of mountain elk semen. The difficulty has been in obtaining a sample to take to the paint store.
