Air conditioner Leaking water inside

Does anyone have an idea why the air conditioner would be dripping inside of the trailer

Two possibilities immediately come to mind:

1-The condensation drain-line is plugged (with algea or mud dauber/insect nest) or kinked.

2-The gasket which is supposed to seal the AC to the roof is not properly placed and is allowing condensation to form and drip inside.

Iíve seen both of these scenarios, with No. 2 being an outrageous amount of water if itís a humid environment or near the coast.

Hi, it would help if you told us more about your trailer. Mine is a 2005 model with a one piece plastic A/C drain. They will eventually crack and leak. Later models have a two piece A/C drain which is an upgrade.

If like mine, with a little bit of work, you can seal the cracks. Or with a lot of work [remove air conditioner] to install the upgraded two piece drain kit.

Thanks for the information, my trailer is a 2002 classic, I will check out the drain and the seals, hopefully I will be able to fix the issue.

I've cleared the drain line for the sunroof on my car by inserting a length of line from a string trimmer / weed wacker. Just rigid enough to punch through there.

Might work on your trailer's A/C drain.

Mine dripped water in the cabin when the air-return filters were dirty.

Cleaned the filters (easy to do), and no more drip.

I don't really understand this (I got the tip from another Airforums post), but it worked for me.

Mine proved to be a crack in the condensation pan. It was a quick fix. I have a 2006 25FB

Check for a cracked or hole in your air-conditioned cover. I had a cluster of pecans fall from a tree in a campground and it punched a hole in my brittle AC cover. I kept wondering why the inside of the AC and carpet was wet after raining. Worse, it was working inside the panels and rotted the floor by the door. I didn't notice the 6" hole in the cover until I got on top of the trailer to check Fantastic Vent covers. Replaced the AC cover, repaired the floor and that cured the problem.
