Adding 2nd A/C?

Hey, just joined. Im starting a full renovation of a 1976 31 Sov Mid Bath and am planning to make the rear section a bunk room for our kids with a door on it. I am debating adding a 2nd a/c in the rear and upgrading the electrical to 50 amp. I am pulling interior skins and re doing the entire wiring anyway but curious if anyone had any input if that was overkill/needed? We live in Texas so theres that. Second idea was running ducting thru cabinets into the room but I'm concerned it would just lower the efficiency of the a/c. Thanks!

We just came home from CO with only 1 a/c working and it was hot until 10PM. After towing when itís over 100, it takes a long time for 1 unit to cool things down.

Just got home from a week in Pigeon Forge TN. Temps were in the mid to high 90’s all week. 50amp/dual air kept us nice and cool at 72F. There is no way a 30amp/ single air would have kept up...

Ok, appreciate the input! Then 2 it is! I was thinking that but without having experience with Airstreams, I wanted opinions and people who know! (proceeds to add a few thousand to the budget)

Anyone seen these? https://www.airxcel.com/coleman-mach...ile/mach-3-p-s

13,500 btu at 10 amps on "normal". You could probably get away with running 2 on a 30 if you managed startups. Or even 1 of these and a standard 13,500.

edit: looking at the specs it is misleading, shows RLA plus 4 amps at 115 ambient which if RLA on high is 1,440 watts like the chart shows add 4 amps to that and it is 15.2 amps but it also states FLA of only 11.2 amps... even 1,440 divided by 115 is 12.5 amps
