Can’t speak to the Upstream Outfitters, but yesterday I installed two of my four erPods. They are very nice and there is now zero restriction airflow. Huge difference; the stock mechanism blocks 50% of each opening. The tough part is removing the original vent. It’s not AirKrafters fault etc, but the ceiling hole is so jagged and uneven the pod didn’t completely cover the old rivet holes/and or the edge. All that said, I see a small part of a rivet hole, but most would never notice it (the down side of being somewhat OCD about these things ).

Our AS has dual AC with 10 vents. The bathroom vent & four in the sleep area will remain stock because it gets plenty cool in the BR even with just running the opposite zone. Of our four erPods, two are over the ‘couch’, one will be over the galley and the last one is the lone dinette vent above the TV area. I think that should be sufficient, but the esthetics may make us get another for the one opposite the galley outlet. We’ll see.

I installed one from Amazon that is almost like the Airkrafters vent. It's all stainless steel. No it's not as beautifully made and you have to make the custom inside mounting ring. But it's less than $ 20.00 I purchased 2 of the Airkrafters and installed them in the bedroom first and they do work great but at $ 145 each??

The Adjustable Upstream Outfitter vents are great!

We are trying to get increased airflow for the AC in a 27 FB. Have looked at several alternatives.
I've purchased two of the adjustable air vents from Upstream Outfitters and I'm very happy with them. They occupy the spots in the very front of my 26 RBT. I have them roughly 1/4 open to direct more volume to the other vents. They were very easy to assemble and install and are cleverly designed.

I modified three of the stock vents using an idea from another airstreamer by using a oscillating tool and blade to cut away the blocked triangular sections of the plastic mounting ring (tossing the one with the small tab used to adjust the opening). I first drilled out the center rivet and assembled the stock cover with the plastic part that has the tabs to hold itself to the inner aluminum sheet. I used a metric screw and locking nylon nut to mate the two. This gives near 100% flow volume from the stock vents.

I plan on modifying all of the vents over the dining and sleeping area in the same way. I'll keep the other vents stock unless I find I must adjust the flow rate to keep things comfortable. I may even add more of the adjustable vents from Upstream Outfitters if need be.

As an more economical alternative, you might try buying one or two and see how they work for you.

Definitely interested in Air Vent options, as we have a single A/C and need it to work as well as possible.

I've looked at mine (2019 25 FC RBT) and they are pretty well wedged into the ceiling. Dumb question, but to get them out (the air vent louver unit) do I just tug around the edges carefully and pull down?

EDIT - Aha, never mind, I continued to search the thread and found the Upstream Outfitters installation video, now I remember how these things work.

I bought two of the $40 non-adjustable vents from Upstream Outfitters, will post back the results after I install them on our next trip in July.

Happy with these cast aluminum units. Just riveted in place with some thought about how to aim. Never had a need to adjust flow or aim differently. Much improved flow

Well shoot I was all set to lever our the original vents today, when I discovered that they are apparently riveted in place.

I seem to remember when we bought our 2017 27FBT there was quite the buzz with "air vents falling out" of the ceiling. I guess by 2019 (the year of our used 25RBT) that the factory must have gotten tired of that.

Anyway, the pair of vents from Upstream Outfitters did arrive, and very nice the look too.

Looking forward to getting them in "soon".
