AC Noise

Has anyone been able to muffle the ac noise. Can't even hear tv when it is running. Now we are having tv issues. Seems to be a short and cuts off. Happens often when ac vibration is bad.

That compressor is right overhead and the fan is just below it, middle of the AS. I doubt that you will be able to muffle it without affecting its performance. We keep the fan on "auto" so it's not always running. If it's not too hot, we just turn it off for a while and use a small fan move the air around. Other than that, we just turn up the TV or go outside and do something else.

We occasionally get caught in a situation where we need the A/C but we try to avoid using it. It is loud, and there's no way around that.
