A/C has me stumped
Longtime handyman with my Airstreams, yet I'm totally stumped. I have a 2013 31' Classic Limited.
This morning, I removed the cover and cleaned out a little dust & dirt. I thought to myself ' what a rats nest of wires! Most of us have seen this type of work- no rime or reason for such a mess. So, I proceeded to clean it up. I shortened two ground wirs by 14" and 16" respectively. I unfurled the mess and made a 'run' of wires using tie straps. I then placed them in the channel area in the roof, reinstalled the shroud and said, 'there'!
I then turned on the thermostat- NOTHING!
Not a single sound fromthe front one although I did hear a click from the back one, indicating a signal of some kind, but it did not come on either. The thermostat control is the dual control in LR with a remote temp sensor in the BR.
I'm at a loss. Anyone care to take a stab?
Thank you

Reset the thermostat(s). If you disconnected the modular phone wire or something else it might have confused some computer somewhere. Make sure the modular plugs are well seated. Clean the contacts with a pencil eraser and blow off the dust. All else fails, do a system re-boot. Turn off the main breaker at the panel for a minute then turn it back on.

Well, got the chance to solve my own problem. Sat and mulled it over a while, prayed and asked my heavenly Father to guide me. Went back to work on it, especially checked the grounds, then turned it all back on. Nothing.
Went over to the thermostat, ran through the programming.... then it came! Set the clock!!!
That was it. Thank you for the devine guidance.

A classic case of too much technology!
You ever seen the rats nest behind my stereo? I peeked and slowly retreated, nice doggy.

We just had our satellite cable chased at Airstream Adventures if Northwest in Oregon. The RATS NEST that was observed was infuriating! If I would have had to pay for the techs time to search for problem through the rats nest, it would have cost $1000+! This could have been avoided had the time and care been taken at JC.
