A/C Ceiling Reinforcement
I'm at the CG (with lousy wireless signal) prepping for new AC install.
Have the interior off - the old unit is a Coleman Delta TX. It appears rather than do a permanent reinforcement - there is a plastic tray that is inserted into the exterior opening. On the bottom of the tray they riveted and vulkemed C channel as the reinforcement. I can't tell if the tray is attached to the rooftop unit.
Has anyone removed a Coleman and found this setup.
What did you reinforce with for the new unit and does anyone recall the thickness needed. I have someone coming out to help in the morning - so I may be able to have him pick up the needed reinforcement on the way out.
