Good afternoon. I have an issue with one of my Dometic AC units.
Like the title says I have a 2019 25 FT Globetrotter with two Dometic AC units. The AC unit in zone 2 will automatically pause when it reaches the temperature set on the thermostat. My AC in unit 1 will not. If I have the AC set for 77 degrees in unit 1 it will continue to run lowering the temperature to say 68 degrees even though it is set to auto. I will have to manually turn off the unit through the thermostat. I have cleaned both units coils within the last three weeks and has not made a difference. I do have an extended warranty for the Airstream.
Has anyone had an experience like this? Thank you for your time.
Our rear AC only runs when needed and the front one basically runs all the time during warm season (temps in the 80s). Our rig is ducted like yours and as a result just 1 AC will cool the rig in moderate temps. Once you’re in temps that we in 100s, both ACs run equally as hard to cool the rig and you’ll likely still only get it in the 80s even if set to 70.

I don’t think I described what is happening correctly.
If I set my zone 1 AC unit for 75 degrees on auto it will cool to 75 degrees then pause until it needs to kick on again to start cooling.
If I set my zone 2 AC unit for 75 degrees on auto it will continue to cool to say 64 degrees or until I turn it off. Make sense?
