2019 22fb noisey blower motor

Hey gang,
I’ve been winter camping a bunch lately and everything has been good. However the other night when the heater, set at 50, kicked on it was loud. Not super loud but loud enough to wake me up.

It sounds like a playing card in bike spokes, which leads me to believe some debris got into the blower motor cage. It’s still blowing hot air but it’s obviously interfering with the ambience and I don’t want to unneccesarily hurt it by running it. That said I’m not going to drag it two hours to the local Rv super store only to have it be something simple. Plus I didn’t buy it there so I’d most likely go to back of line.

So my plan is to open the panel and inspect the blower but from the diagrams it looks like I would have to pull the heater out because the blower cage is on the side when you open the access panel.

Anyone have advice?

Thanks

Fixed problem

Took off the cover and I could see this piece of tape up in the blower wheel.

Looks like a QC inspection sticker got sucked in, this caused a huge increase in noise from the blower motor.

Glad I didn’t drag it to the dealer for this. Easy fix.

Good catch. Enjoy the quieter heat.
