2017 and 2018 Classic 30 Comparison

We are looking at a 2017 and 2018 Classic 30 to purchase. We are not new to travel trailers, but new to Airstreams. The heating system in the 2017 and 2018 Classic are different. The Base Weight of the 2017 Airstream is also appox 423 pounds less than the 2018. Is the reason why the 2018 is heavier due to weight of the silent hydronic heating system vs the furnace heating in the 2017? We are concerned about the towing weight and wondered if that was the difference. Would love to hear some opinions if it is worth the additional weight for the additional comfort?
