2010 Classic/Electric Option Hot Water Heater

We're new to Airstream's and went out on our maiden voyage a couple of weeks ago. We had a few problems with the hot water heater as well as a few other things, but, getting back to the water heater. We were sitting outside having lunch and we heard a noise of blasting water, my wife was facing the AS and saw steaming water blasting out of the hot water heater door and steam covering the side of the trailer. I immediatly turned off the water at the spicket. We contacted our dealer (Chicago Airstream) to try and get someone to help us, but, everytime I called on was told they were busy with other customers, nice. . .
I'll tell you the rest of that story in another thread, unbelievable!!
Anyway, after that we tried the propane switch to get the heater on, no go, only a strong oder of propane, it would try and start, then shut off with red light on. The RV park we were at was nice enough to send a tech down and they changed the black box, which fixed the propane option of the heater, but for some reason the electric option no longer works.

Any ideas?

Did you turn the HW heater off right away? (because drained dry might not be a good state to let it be in) Was the drain plug loose? Or had the pressure relief valve opened? Were there indications it was leaking from somewhere else? And where?

Before restarting the HW heater, did you run water through the hot side of a faucet inside the trailer to fill up the HW heater first?

Need more info please...
