1960 Aircon Help please

Hi all,
I'm importing a 1960 Tradewind to Australia, and need to know what type of refrigerant it would have had. I've asked the seller to de-gas the unit which he had done, but am worried that if it's not completely de-gassed it could cause problems at customs. My other option is to apply for a permit to import the AC with gas, but to do that I need to know what's in it. Any help appreciated

I'm not 100 percent sure but I believe in the 60's the A/C unit would have R-12 or R-22. And the refrigerator would have Ammonia.
The seller could look on the name plate of the A/C for the answer.
