Slide-in Stovetop Replaced
I never really cared for the original stove top (Atwood CA 3 burner LP) in our 2017 30" International Serenity travel trailer. The look and feel did not seem up to the standards of the rest of the interior, especially the cheap looking (stamped steel) grates, knobs, clunky metal cover, and branding. Note I had no issues at all with the performance or function of that stove, it just looked cheaper than the rest of the galley.
I have been looking for a replacement for some time. Yesterday I completed the replacement with a Greystone model CF-RVHOB17B I found on Amazon (and bought for me as a birthday gift by my sweet wife).
I am very pleased with this change. While I longed for something with a stainless-steel cooktop, this stove looks much better to me than the original. I especially like that it is flat to the countertop, whereas the original stood up above the counter, especially with the bulky metal cover down.
I will attach a picture of the results.
Installation was relatively straightforward with the caveat that the original stovetop required a 3" deep cabinet face, and this new stove was documented to use 4" (I only cut the cabinet 3/4" after measuring the actual dimensions.
As well, the new stove needs 12VDC power for the lighted knobs (kind of a hokey function, but we think maybe we will use them for some reason sometime).
If anyone has interest in more details on the install or purchase, I'll be glad to add what I can to this thread.
