I have a roll of Duct Tape for keeping the vent flap open when using and closed when moving. The tabs fell out while traveling in 2007.
Somewhere in Colorado. Duct Tape sealed the vent cover at West Wendover, Nevada when parked at a Casino Parking lot in 2008. Bought a replacement in Reno and it lasted until we sold the 2006 for Eight Years, put a Camco cover on and saved myself lots of Duct Tape.
So Duct Tape everything temporarily... or permanent.
Sharp razor. Small strip of Duct Tape holds it closed, and open. If the repair looks funky, I learned everything how to work on our Airstream from reading:
What Me... Worry? Alfred E. Neuman. He would have done the same.
