oven temperature

Does anyone how hot it gets around and behind an oven?? Having removed mine to repair the floor underneath, I found the 3/8 copper line barely
crimped. The stove works seems to work ok but was going to replace the
line before reinstalling the stove. Sholud I stay with copper (flared fittings,
of course) or do they make a flexible low pressure line that would work??
I've seen rubber lp lines advertised, but not sure they'd work without
melting. Flex lines are available for residential/commercial applications,
just not sure about the rv industry!!
