Oven Only for 68 Overlander
HI All,
I have been lurking on these forums since last May, when we bought our 68 (and before that to get some background information). There is a huge amount if information here, and I've answered almost everyone of my questions, from replacing the furnace, pergo-ing the floor, replacing the roof vents and sealing the roof, installing solar, etc. All of it great information for what I have needed.
Now, though, I have a question I can't find the answer to: I want to replace the oven. It doesn't stay lit, and it's original, 40 years is a long time for a propane appliance. but it is separate from the stove top- they aren't one on top of the other, the oven is on the curb-side of the kitchen and the stovetop is on the street-side. It just happens to be the configuration of this particular model.
The problem is, from searching online, I can't find just an oven, it seems like they are all stovetop/oven combinations. I have looked at Magic Chef, Atwood, suburban, and distributors for these, online parts places, etc. Ebay, the works.
Are these still made? Will I need to purchase the combo, then disassemble it and use just the oven?
Any experience that you all have had out there is appreciated.
