Installing a Microwave in a 28 CCD 2005

I would like to ask if anyone has installed or seen a microwave installed in a 28 CCD and if they have found any other place besides right above the stove? I have thought about some place that would put it out of sight but inconvenient as well. Any ideas?

This is a link to a thread I started on the mods that were done to our 2004 28' CCD at Jackson Center.

As far as location, there don't seem to be too many choices as to where to put the microwave. I don't beleive the 2005 units had the roof locker over the dinette because they added some vista-view windows. Our 2004 did have the roof locker and it could have been modified to put the microwave over there.

You COULD replace the gas stove with a 3 burner range and a convection-microwave but if you boondock, you lose the benefit of a propane appliance.

For all that are interested I moved forward and went ahead and installed the Microwave over the the stove! It looks to be OK. I still need to cover the bottom of it that sticks out to make it look a little neater but I think it works.

As you can see it does not cover Solar charge control or the Inverter control panels. Also I have installed a Wave 3 Heater in the bedroom which now works well with the Wave 6 in the Main Salon. While in the country it got down to 17deg outside and on medium setting it kept the inside at 62 to 65 deg all night.

I believe that it's almost there. I just have to add a few more comforts and I'll have it. I have to keep up with my mentor Don N #
