How to turn off the microwave beeps?

Our dog, for whatever reason, is terrified of the beeping sound from the microwave. Is there anyway we can turn that off?

Here's how you do it, you throw the original Microwave out and buy one of these. Press "8" and hold after opening the drawer (the drawer has a switch that removes power when you close the drawer. I can sympathize. We had a chocolate lab who was scared of the low battery warning beep made by a smoke detector, of which we have several at home. Not an everyday problem like a microwave but still...

There are multiple brands of microwaves in Airstream trailers. It might help to list the brand that you have. We have a Contoure in our 2020 Globetrotter and there is nothing in the manual about disabling the beep. Maybe a call to the manufacturer of yours would yield a result.

What does your microwave instruction book say?

Maybe investigate the Thundershirt for dogs. It’s intended for dogs that are very scared of thunder. Maybe it has an application here. Good luck.

I had a border collie that was subjected to dog fencing with a shock collar as a pup. She never trusted beeps after that. You will need electronic skills to board level to silence the MW.
