Do I Need (can I get) a Range Top Thermocouple?
2011 Bambi Sport
The Range Part is listed in the manual as:
690576 Cooktop-2 Burner SMEV 8022 ST.Satin (with no other parts listed)
One of the two burners won't stay lit when we release the knob pressure. I think that probably indicates that the thermocouple is no longer correctly sensing heat and tells the gas to shut off? At least it seemed plausible enough to just replace that part, which I had hoped was cheap, easy to find and easy to replace.
Perhaps not. My manual doesn't even list that part.
In new manuals (2020) I see the same base part plus the other parts and it's listed as:
690576-102 Thermocouple W/250mm Wire For 690576 Cooktop
But when I search all that, I don't see the part anywhere. It just brings up igniters and entire range replacements.
Sorry if I'm being thick but is there some reason that part is hard to find, and isn't even listed as a part for my model year? It's hard to believe you just need to replace the whole unit.
Thanks for any insight!
