Contoure MW Locking After Each Use

Hello,

I am a new member and a new owner of a 2025 Trade Wind 25’. We bought it a couple of weeks ago, brought it home, and have been testing various bits as time permits.

Most most things seem to be working fine. However, I’ve run into a problem with the Contoure Convection Microwave Oven (model R-188BK-CON). There was no owner’s manual in our packet from the dealership but I found a digital one on line. The problem we are having does not show up in the manual,

Here’s the problem: When I first used it to heat up breakfast, it ran fine but at the end displayed ‘LOC’. Operating the manual button would not open the door and pushing the child lock button on/off did nothing as well, I cut power to the machine and it reset, allowing me to open the door. Not sure if it was a one-off, I decided to test it. I placed a mug of water in the machine and powered it for 30 seconds. At the end, it beeped and displaced ‘LOC’. After a timed 30 minutes the microwave clicked and enabled the manual door button. I repeated the test again with the exact same results - ‘LOC’ and a 30 minute wait before the electronic lock disabled and I was able to retrieve the mug.

Before I contact Airstream or the manufacturer for warranty service, I thought I would see what the forum membership thought. Has anyone else experienced this fault? Is there an easy fix? Or, is there some user error I am making in operating the microwave?

The child lock might be on. Try holding the stop/clear button for three seconds until you hear a long beep and see if that clears the problem.

Hello, Thank you. I have tried the child lock function and it doesn't resolve the problem I will definitely try the stop/clear-3sec method the next time I can get to the trailer.
