Can it be fixed - 1988 Magic Chef

Hi! I have a 1988 excella with the original magic chef oven that I am hoping I can fix. I used a propane detector and found a significant leak in the thermostat assembly for the oven (pictured below). From reading previous posts, I know magic chef oven parts from this era are no longer available. I asked an RV technician and he said it would be easier to just replace the oven, but I'm hoping there is a way to keep the original!

I also attached a picture of the metal piece above the pilot flame - which looks like it needs some work. I have poked around the forums about replating/painting and am not sure what material these parts are made of and therefore not sure of next steps.

Any input would be appreciated

I found that the gas leak is where the thermostat attatched to the manifold pipe.
