1963 Princess Propane Stove Burner Gasket

While im waiting for the shop, decided to see if i could rebuild the Princess stove top out of my 1963 Bambi. I have no idea if it is original to the trailer. But wondering what is an appropriate gasket material between the burner assembly & the bracket, that mounts the burner in the stove ? Since the old gasket looks fiberous, might be subject to heat, & due to the era, this old gasket might be asbestos

what would be the industry standard for a contemporary propane burner gasket material?

You can get replacement gasket material at the auto parts store. Just copy the pattern and cut it out.

thanks bigadventure, i have no problem, making a template & then making gaskets. the focus of my concern, is proper material to make it from for propane systems if the original asbestos is out of the question .

if nobody see a problem with paper gaskets, if they seal for me, im on it !!
