Hi I am new to this! We have a 1960 Tradewind with the original Princess cooker. The hob works just fine but I don’t know where to start with the oven. There is a hole at the back of the oven - I have attached some photos. What do I need to do to get it to work?
I find the best way is to turn the oven control on, then light the oven burner by holding a match at the hole in the shelf.
Once it is burning, you may need to adjust the pilot flame height. This is done with an adjustment screw in the front of the oven control thermostat.
This oven does not have a thermocouple safety valve.
The oven valve will open and shut cyclically to maintain temperature. If the pilot light goes out between cycles the oven temperature will not be maintained.
buy a case of beer, hot dogs & hamburgers & invite anyone near you to come over....then ask for help! sorry but if you are not familiar with Propane this might be the best approach. I might show up if we weren't so far away
