What's going on!!

Our 83 Ecella is 'stored' for the winter. Which means it has been winterized, and parked at our shop area. We keep very low heat into it, and power plugged in with fridge on shore power and turned on.... this gives my hubby some place to store beverages and lunches, and makes it possible for me to grab a bite when using the unit for projects I don't want to do at home... read that as doing projects minus three cats and two large dogs!
Recently the fridge alarm on electric has been going off. We reset everything, it is fine for a bit, hours or days even, and then! BAM!! Off it goes again! The fridge seems to be functioning as food remains cold, and frozen goods remain frozen. But this is making me nuts! Any suggestions or hints of what is really going on here? This is the original Dometic three way in a 1983 Excella, 31 footer! Help! Help!! Help!!!

Can you live with false alarms?

No personal experience here, but from what you have described & what I have read, it sounds like a circuit board in the refrigerator is crapping out. If available, the board will cost about $100.

It's nice that no food is spoiling, but false alarms get real old after a while.

If available is the key here as many people have had to replace a refrigerator for want of a board.

Cedars,

PM me with your fridge particulars: Make, model # and serial #. I'll look it up in my manuals and see if there is a fault code for your problem. In the mean time, try operating it on gas mode to see if you get the same problem. It could indeed be a bad board, but it also could be a dozen other problem areas.
