Want to change out Dometic RM2803 for... what?

The old Dometic RM2803 in our '85 25' Sovereign is not working. Odd, it was fine when I last used it 10 years ago. Or so.

I have no interest in repairing an old ammonia refrigerator. So what is the recommended replacement? And what issues are involved in changing one out?

We would like an ac/gas unit - 12 volt operation is not required. The space is roughly 24" w X 56" high, but there is some wiggle room.

I changed out a friends fridge in her '84 and I installed a Dometic RM2652. It was an easy change out, and had to build up the floor about 2" to bring fridge up to the height of the opening. That was easier than trying to raise the opening to fit a larger fridge. Connecting the gas line was the most difficult part of the install. Suggest that you have a certified gas fitter do that part.
