Question Silly Dometic refrigerator "problem"

Just nabbed the last(?) 2004 CCD couple of weeks ago.

Love it, quality seems generally very good, though we've been nowhere with it yet - it's been frigid in Ohio this December!

We found a trivial problem with the Dometic refrigerator: There's a hole on the right side above the door, which has a small sliding piece of plastic with a jagged edge at the bottom. Cold air pours through this hole. I've concluded that this hole is nothing more than a cutout for reversing the door, and that the jagged piece of plastic is a broken "plug" for the hole.

We pointed it out to Sherry RV (our excellent dealer) before delivery and they ordered us the piece. What they ordered arrived in a looonnnng box, and turned out to be a whole new control face for the fridge - minus the plug! We'll need to give that back to them.

In the meantime, I'm on the verge of putting electrical tape over the hole and forgetting about it.

Would somebody who has the same fridge look at theirs and let me know just _what_, if anything, is in the hole on yours? Or what it does or doesn't do?

Thanks!
Jon
