Seeking original Dometic for my 77 Argosy

Good morning! I am restoring my 1977 Airstream Argosy RV and would like to replace the mini-fridge that's in there with the original Dometic (possibly the RM760 model?) full-size unit. Anyone have any idea where I might find one of these? Also, can anyone confirm the model number? Thank you for your time, Sara

Ooooooo! Sounds promising!

A couple of questions:

1. Do you have the Dometic dimensions? Or the model number? I want to make sure it's the same one, or one that is close in style and will fit.

2. Does your Dometic work?

3. Do you have any photos?

Thanks for getting back to me!!

Dometic RM76...

Stephenssg,

Our 1976 Argosy originally came with the Dometic RM76 fridge/freezer combo. I know this because the paper work included the Bill Of Sale back in '76.

However, when we purchased the trailer in 2014 the Previous Owner had changed it out for a smaller fridge.

Now than we are finalizing the build, we purchased a newer DM2862 fridge/freezer combo, which is 8 Cu.Ft. in size.

I think the RM760 that you mention in your original post is the same configuration as the older RM76.

Good Luck in your rebuild.
