Refrigerator Door Panel Falls

Has anyone else had trouble with their refrigerator door panel not staying in the frame during travel? The bottom decorative strip will not hold up
the panel. I am considering screwing this strip to the door bottom.
I have a 2014 Dometic RM2451 frig.

Thanks, Gerald

I removed the plastic brackets top and bottom and fashioned new brackets out of 1/2" right angle aluminum strip. Holds panel snugly and adds a nice aluminum accent. Right angle is available at Home Depot.

Thanks for the tip. How did you attach it to the refrigerator bottom?

How about heavy duty double sided behind the panel to take some of the load off the strip.

The added benefit there is the thickness of the tape will probably put just enough tension on the panel to keep it snug.

My panel is a bit bowed - wood behind it and aluminium plate face. Keeps falling off when the rig goes over bumpy roads help.
Wonder if taking of the wood might make it lighter and more likely to stay put

I went the 2x tape, twice. The third round i temp taped the panel in place and predrilled and tapped in some very small flat head brads thru the panel into the plastic door edge along the top and bottom edges located to be behind the trim. Snapped them back in, not visible.

Made it intact last fall to Ca and back, granted fwy driving, but then again, CA fwy.?

p.s. Thinking back i believe i put a drop of super glue in the hole before tapping in the brad.
