Refrig burner extra part?

I have just replaced the cooling unit in a Dometic RM 2601 and wound up with a small 2-3" C shaped part that I can't remember where on the burner assembly it went. Attached are two pics of the burner and the extra part.

Anybody recognize this one?

TIA
Steve in Sav'h
