Re-using vintage fridge and oven doors?

Has anyone tried installing doors from original appliances on new appliances, so that the vintage look can be maintained? My original fridge and oven are unfixable, I'm told.

Good idea, retrofit to new appliance. No I haven't tried that, however, your appliances ARE most likely fixable.

Some parts are obsolete, hard to find etc.

Don't discard them yet or worse give them to the repair shop that says they are unfixable (thats what my previous owner fell for and I had to find new old replacements then rebuild them).

What is "unfixable" about yours?
What doesn't work, I may have a few spare used parts

Post some pictures so we can see what your appliances are. The stovetop/oven has very few moving parts. I find it hard to believe its beyond repair. In trailers of our vintage, I mostly see the original oven over other items that have been kept intact. Besides, they get little use as compared to the fridge.
