Problem with refrigerator

Freezer works good. Refrigerator works for 1 1/2 days then stops cooling.
Any solutions?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like bad connections on the circuit board. Disconnect each connection, clean and reconnect.

Also - there is DEFROSTING

I live in beautiful coastal Virginia - 99% humidity any time the temperature goes above 70 degrees.

I knew that almost all RV refrigerators need to be defrosted periodically, but I've run into a lot of younger people who simply never had an old refrigerator and can't imagine black and white TV's or computer monitors. They wonder what that huge lump of ice is in the top back side of their refrigerators and why the unit seems to not be cooling as well as it used to.

An hour later, after removing all of the food, turning off the fridge, filling a bucket with Ice sheets and dripping water and using a hair dryer to break up the icebergs - their refrigerator is ready to work again, and work WELL.

problem with refrigerator

I will clean all electrical connections tomorrow. Thanks.
No ice build up,checked that one.
Doesn't matter if its on shoreline or propane. After 1 1/2 days it stops cooling.
Temp outside was 98 ( Death Valley) That was on propane.
Parker,AZ temp 95 shoreline power same thing.
Trailer was maybe off 1/4 bubble.
Any thing else I could check?

Thanks

Your not getting enough airflow behind the Frig. One of the draw backs on this type of Frig.

I agree. Same thing happened to me in Palm Springs last summer. I left the access door propped open a bit and the refrigerator section got cool.

I should have looked at the location. Air circulation sounds right. Simple to verify - just open the door. Some people have added a 12 volt computer fan to force more air through the compartment. Do a SEARCH for overheating refrigerator.

If you mount a computer fan, mount it so that it is blowing out the exit vent, not blowing in the air entrance vent. Air is pulled very easily. Doesn't push well. It tends to compress.
Wind is drawn to low pressure areas from high pressure areas.

Excessive hot humid conditions I prop my two exterior doors open with a couple of wooden pencils. Seems to help the temp stay more consistent thru the day.

The OP states the refer stops working after a day and a half, I would not think it would be an air flow problem.
It is not clear whether when on gas the burner goes off or the heating element shuts down.
If the plenum on the back of the refer is not getting hot. Then the heat source is not functioning on either gas or electric.
Both the gas and electric functions are both controlled by the circuit board. The board may have an intermittent problem or it could be just the connections.
Check to see if the plenum is getting hot let us know what you find.

It was an educated guess that your refer is new enough to have a circuit board control.
Not knowing the model number I can't answer the question. There are PDF files on the Internet where you could get a full printout of the manual for your model.
You may have resolved the issue when you cleaned the connections you found.
Let us know if it runs more than a day or so.

Propane regulater issue?
Low water column values change the aspect ratio of the flame causing poor cooling. I experienced this last summer on my 91 with original fridgeall is.very cold.again!

I will agree with the before mentioned remarks. Airflow is the key.

This is what I did and cured the problem!

The model of the coach is not what you want. You need the model of the refer. RM xxxx for example.
