Power wiring Maintenance

A few years of ownership... our 1999 Excella.

I have been having this “itch” to clean out the exterior hatch for the fridge.

Started the process... bumped the DC power cables and noticed the wire moved easily inside the terminal block. It was loose! Wires had like a rust covering them!

Turn off ALL POWER!! Even the AC.

Stripped wires and got good wire right away. Smeared dielectric on and rubbed into wires. Reconnected, all powered up great!

I think this was cause of “poor/intermittent cooling” on LP or AC.. the controls were not getting reliable power.

So... sometimes it is ok to listen to the voices..

Heh, I always listen to the voices in my head—they have so darn many ‘interesting’ ideas.....[emoji3]
