Question Pluggin in 1970 Dometic, what to watch for?

Greetings! We have the Dometic reefer out of our 1970 Tradewind as part of a complete interior renovation, and want to evaluate the condition of the unit to see what if anything needs fixed. Aside from making sure that it's level, is there anything else we should be aware of before plugging it in? How to clean evaluate and test it? We won't be running anything on gas in the forseeable future, only concerned with AC operation at this point.

I learned that an absorption refrigerator out of it's cabinet does not get very efficient air flow over the cooling fins in the rear of the unit, meaning that it might not work as efficiently as it would when installed in the trailer. You might create some mild airflow to simulate the convection it gets inside the compartment and refrigerator vent. This way you can really tell it's performance.
