Norcold Vintage 61 Fridge, operate, directions, or manual.

We have the below pictured Norcold Fridge (2 way?) in our 61 Globetrotter.

Does anyone have a manual or know the proper operation sequence for this fridge?

The area below the fridge has the ignitor and the switch (terminology?).

Under the aluminum grate on the counter is a two prong outlet type of insert. Is something missing there? Should we have something to plug into that in order for it to function on electric?

Thanks for your help. Click image for larger version

Did lots of research online and could not find any information on this vintage model fridge.

Found two sets of instructions on the inside/backside of the bottom kick plate grate. One for gas and one for electric.

For electric it days insert a heating element.

Does anyone still have one of those so we can see what we're looking for.

More hours spent online combing thru old
AirForums posts, Vintage Airstream.com, old archived pictures etc.

Called National Refrigeration in Shipsheewana Indiana and spoke with Glenn (he bought the business from Leon).

Going to send him some pictures and he's going to look in his collection of old parts to see if he has a heating element.

Looks like we have the model # figured out.

It is Norcold 604

Based on images I believe it is an original fridge. Click image for larger version

So we cannot find the heating element anywhere. Googling "2 way fridge heating coil" only brings up newer coils.

Yeti Cooler camping works for this week, just nowhere as convenient. It's amazing how quickly we can become camping spoiled with electric, water, fridge etc
