no lights on the control panel but it works???

SO my RM-3862 the control panel was not lighting up when I pushed on-off button but the unit still cools.. on lp have not tried elec.

Problem is I have no idea what the temp scale is sitting at. The CLC and LAC light will come on when i push the button for them, but everything else is dark.

Had a bad 3 amp fuse, replaced that. the 5 amp fuse was good.

SO is the board bad or the control panel bad?? how to check to find out. Power is good at 12.7 or more. took board out and checked all connection, reinstalled making sure to push plugs on board firmly and checked to make sure no corrosion or other issues, same with elec terminals on board..

any help welcome.

in the picture it looks like the lights on panel are on but that is from flash.
board does appear to be original, this on a 2005 classic.

so i take the panel off front and check for any burned or loose connections and found everything was OK looking.. anyone have an idea as to what might be the issue. I have checked fuse check the main board.

I have checked everything I can check.. and still get no light on teh left side of the panel. the smaller right side board which controls heaters strips and low ambient control works fine.

you can see the smaller board light are on and the larger board is no lights

So i thought I found the replacement and sent question to guy on ebay with my info. He was saying that the dometic 2932884014 would not work with my unit
he posted another number 3850408018 was what i needed..

I found one at dyeronline.com and only $74 plus 9 shipping..
