New Vitrifrigo fridge for my 72 airstream

Just ordered the Vitrifrigo Front-Loading Stainless Steel Refrigerator w/freezer compartment C130RXD4-F-1 for my 1972 safari, 23 ft. airstream. Anyone out there using one in their airstream? My current fridge worked fine but I needed/wanted a fridge that would run on dc power due to my new solar upgrade. I installed 400 watts of panels with 2x 138ah lithium batteries. Total 276ah. Oh what do you think I could fetch for a used ice cold Dometic rm2510 fridge in great condition?

We have a Vitrifrigo in our coach and love it. They have customer support and tech support in the US if you ever have need.

When we first got ours we had a few problems with the control box. It was an earlier version and had problems switching from AC to DC. The tech support in Florida sent me a new box, and then when the newer version came out he sent another. I'd say that they went above and beyond trying to help me troubleshoot and get things running without requiring me to get the unit to one of their service centers. Not all companies will do that anymore.

My new install

So I finally finished with the fridge install. I love the quality of the new fridge and its ice cold. I went with the fridge with the separate condenser which I mounted below the fridge and added a stainless steel marine vent to help with heat dissipation.

We put the Vitrifrigo DP1501 refrigerator with separate freezer compartment into our 2015 23D International Serenity. It runs only off 12Vdc as we have a 315 amp hour lithium battery and five 100 watt solar panels on the roof. We put the Vitrifrigo DP2600 refrigerator with separate freezer into our 2014 31’ Classic. It too runs only on 12Vdc as we have a 600 amp hour lithium battery and nine 100 watt solar panels on the roof.

Both units required some custom cabinet fillers made from hickory as both units were slightly narrower than the stock Dometic units. Since the DP2600 was shorter, we created a custom hickory faced storage box above the DP2600.

We like the fact that I can energize the fridge at the storage unit and 9.6 miles later at the house it is already cold in the freezer and refrigerator.

We also installed the Truma Aqua Go instant on water heaters into both trailers. They are both propane only except for the 12Vdc control voltage. Plenty of hot water and they can protect themselves from freezing while on the road.
