Mechanical problem with fridge

I am new to the Airstream family having just purchased a 1971 model. It’s been in our extended family since it was new and meticulously cared for. Following transport to my home everything is in working order except the fridge. The problem is the fridge door won’t close. The internal shelving on the door comes in contact with the inside if the frame, plastic on plastic. It’s as though something swelled up but I see nothing of that nature. I placed a 2x6 with a sim inside to spread the box apart and that seemed to almost correct the problem. Prior to that I loosened th upper door hinge to see if I could cheat some space that way. No help. I should add that the freezer compartment door works fine. Pretty sure that all the electrical and gas circuits work fine so I’d like to fix this.
Thanks in advance. Looking forward to using this forum a lot.

Those door shelves can likely be removed and rearranged. Were they just put back in the wrong places?

No it’s not the shelves. Facing the fridge I can actually see that the left side is bowed in. That’s why the door won’t close. Now I have to see why it’s bowed in.
Thanks for the help kidjedi.
