Looking for a refrigerator shelf

We have a 2020 25’ GT twin with the 3 way fridge. I guess we’re lucky in that it’s worked very well. The only issue we have with it is that we think it needs another shelf.
If anyone is getting rid of their old 3 way fridge, and would be willing to sell us a shelf, we’d appreciate it.

You might have some luck if you put this photo into Google image search...sometimes it really is like magic....

We went to Lowe’s and purchased some 1/4” thick plexiglass and cut it to fit in the slot where you can slide in an extra shelf. You have to taper it a little front to back but it works well. A friend of mine added some holes in his to allow more cold air to pass thru if you want.

As another option, you can purchase some containers to organize a little better. We have done both - added a shelf plus used containers. We are in non-airstream travel mode for the next 2 weeks or I would add pics.

I was able to get a nice used white wire shelf from a local RV place and I shortened it to fit with a zip wheel then painted the exposed cuts with epoxy appliance touch up paint. (The depth was already correct) The wire racks allow for better air flow IMHO.

Mine is the RML 8555 but the shelf slots look identical to yours. The wire rack fits very well.

I had a similar need due to cracked plastic shelving. I was able to find a a person or company selling the shelves out of Australia. It arrived in a decent time and as described. I don’t know if they are still making parts for this fridge, I suspect not.

nelsonh, I’ll try a google image search. I honestly never knew there was such a thing. I’ll try it if I can figure out how. Ha!

GettinAway, I got the idea to make another shelf and use bins from GOUSC. Best thing we’ve done for the fridge. You can load them up in the house; whatever fits in the bins will fit in the fridge.

We have the same 3-way Dometic fridge in our 2019 GT. The shelf is tapered towards the back. I made my shelf from Plexiglass and added a lip to the front. I made a pattern from one of the existing shelves and drilled holes for vents.

Not a hard project if you can’t find one online. The extra shelf plus the bins really made a difference for us. Thanks again to GOUSC for the ideas!

My two way died after 28 years!
I’m in the market for a new one, therefore I will part out this one.
Parts from a Dometic RM 2652….
Shelves are 18 3/4”… deepest is 10 3/4”,
One is 10 3/4 with cut out, another 9 1/4, 5 3/8….freezer 16 3/4 by 8 3/8.
Other parts available are bins, door shelves etc. message me Richard Rekus
Any shelf is $15 each plus shipping door bins $15 each plus shipping.
I will attempt to attach pics? Or in a separate post!

You always humble me with your work and creativity. Nice job! I can see it obviously eliminates the problem. I’m hoping to hit the easy button again, and just find someone getting rid of their old shelves..

Whatever container you use, it should have some kind of holes in it and if using several space them apart to allow for good air circulation. We have a 7cf 2-way Dometic in our 25ft International and use 3 of these in the freezer and 3 in the frig compartment leaving room for odd sized stuff.
