Help with replacing Fridge

Hello Everyone:
Our original Dometic RM1303 just bite the dust and stop working on the electric. After getting help from this forum, I found out that it was the control board. However, it was 20 yrs old and the local RV dealer told me to replace it rather than repair it. So, we ordered a Dometic RM2820, based on the comments on this forum. The RM 1303 is 2 inches taller than RM2820 and it is secured to the AS by connecting the front panel to the vertical walls of the AS. The RM2820 must be secured using the front top panel. In the instalation instructions it is mentioned tht there CANNOT be more than 1 inch apace between top of the fridge and the cabinets. My question is: 1. How do I secure the fridge to the AS. And 2: how do I reduce the space due to shorter hight of RM2820? Should I raise the floor under the fridge ysing 2x12 wood? Any comments is helpful.
Cheers
Danesh

I'd definitely raise the floor. You won't need to bend over as far to reach the lower shelves, and it's easier to make a filler panel for the bottom where nobody will see it.

I built a 3/4" plywood platform, and raised that (about 1 1/4") with scrap lumber. You will need to bolt through the platform at the rear, so be sure it is secure to the original floor. Make sure there is no air passage under the platform so gas can leak from the rear of the refrigerator to the living area.
