GT Refrigerator - any user comments

We are looking at the 2021 GT 27 FB but are concerned about the new refrigerator.
We'd like to get some user feedback from current users of the all electric 8 cu ft refrigerator. Is it able to maintain the desired temp when driving for 2 days of driving and camping without plugging it in? How long before it exhausts the AGM batteries? What solar package would be required to boondock? Experience would be appreciated. Not electrically inclined so any real time stories would help.

You can figure it will use about 60 Amp-hr per day with regular use. Probably will use 80 Amp-hr to initially cool. The useful capacity of two AGM batteries is about 100-120 Amp-hr. You can figure your vehicle will recharge the batteries to maybe 85% max while the refrig is active but that would be best case. If you want to do better from the vehicle while driving, get a DC to DC charger to boost voltage and therefore current draw from the vehicle. Check the vehicle trailer circuit fuse, it is likely 20 A so don't get a charger that exceeds capacity of the fuse.

I get this information from the refrigerator specs and from previous poster's experience. Sorry nobody directly responded.

Tow vehicle will charge batteries while driving, fridge draws about 3.5 amp per hour. Gets much colder than the absorption fridge and no fan noise.
