Green Liquid

Hello All, anted to see if anyone had seen this before or had some advice on an issue. We took our 27' FC out 2 weeks ago and had a great trip. Everything worked great. Brought her back and plugged her back in because we were planning on heading out again next weekend for a trip.

Anyway, yesterday when I walked in I noticed the temp in the fridge said 60. Opened it up to see the internal gauge reading 72. So, obviously not cooling at all. Went outside and opened up the vent to find some green liquid in the bottom left corner. It appears to be dripping from the cooling unit (if I am using the right term) - the cylindrical black piece in the picture (sorry the pics both got rotated counterclockwise 90 degrees). And it is dripping from the left side of it where it looks like there is a cap.

Since we have been back I have had it plugged in the entire time with no power issues. There are no error codes on the fridge and lights inside the fridge are working. But both freezer and fridge are not cooling at all. It is a 2016 and we have only had it for 4 months form the previous owner - who took great care of it.

Just unlucky and need a new cooling unit you think? Or are there some things I should be testing? I called the local (1.5 hrs) AS dealer to get their opinion and they said it sounds like the cooling unit and to bring it in. Just wanted to throw it out there and see what anyone thought. Thanks in advance.

And if it matters we have an extended warranty that was transferred from the prior owner, but we just moved and I cannot find the paperwork so I don't know if the fridge is covered or not - going to call on Monday. But I know it is not just the 2 years of coverage, we have something more.

Thanks again!

Ryan

New cooling unit time. That's the ammonia solution which has leaked out.
I would.get an amish unit from rvcoolingunit.com, if I remember correctly. Been very happy with mine.

The cooling unit has sprung a leak and failed. You will need either a replacement cooling unit or a replacement fridge.

Thanks guys. I figured as much, but just wanted to ask.

Anything in particular that I likely did or did not do that led to it happening? Or just one of those "lucky me" moments?

Thanks

Well... there are a lot of metal tubes filled with ammonia.

Failure/cracks may have been caused by excessive vibration.

Tire balance, WD bars not matched to the weight on the hitch receiver, tire pressure.
