Can an all electric refrigerator be installed in a 2020 model?

An all-electric fridge can be installed on any model.

That said, some models will require more modification to the cabinetry than others, and some might require running a better feed wire for the 12vdc current to power it.

Best advice is to first measure the cavity size where your fridge sits, checking for both the overall size of the cavity and the opening size and then look at the various offerings by companies such as Vitrifrigo and see which fits. You might have to modify the molding or face plate of the opening to accommodate the particular fridge you want.

I installed an all-electric in a vintage bus conversion which was built into an RV in 1974, and it only required adding a metal faceplate to adjust the size of the opening. Some people have had to trim the wood around the opening. Others have rebuilt the cabinetry to accommodate a larger fridge. There are endless possibilities, so the answer to your question is definitely yes - it's possible.

Yes, just a matter of getting one that fits or adjusting cabinets and making sure there is enough power, most 12v fridges need less then 11 amps so might have enough power already. Many people have put household fridges in older trailers. Hard thing would be going the other way, electric only to electric/propane.

In addition to the good advice above, I suggest you think about your travel style — primarily the amount of time you will spend unplugged — and analyze whether or not your current power generation and storage capabilities are up to the significantly increased demand.

P.S. to my post above: Even electric only fridges need some form of ventilation for proper operation, not the same as propane fridges but something.

Also, some on the forums have complained about noise from the compressor. Maybe this varies by manufacturer, maybe it can be mitigated with sound deadening insulation during installation. I don’t know, but it would make me crazy after such a conversion. Do some homework.
