free fridge

I have a 1969 overlander which I am restoring and I have replaced the original fridge with a 9.2 electric. I dont know if the old fridge works or not but you can have it . Must pick up in Ehrhardt SC 29081 (phone # removed) Dave

Hi,

Do you still have that fridge? And, is it the Dometic refrigerator/freezer unit? Ours works but the inside pieces of the doors are shot and won't close properly.

Thank You,
Phyllis

removing the oldie

There should be some bolts on the bottom of the fridge whuch screw into the floor.
Open the outside door which vents the fridge and you can access the bolts.

I just pulled mine from my Trade wind... it was screwed to the floor, and through the wall of the cabinet beside it.

The new Dometics are great, no kneeling down to start it, no 12 volt to drain the batteries, switches over when shore power is applied.
