Door Handle Dometic 3804

I am looking for the refrigerator door handle for a Model #3804. The Dometic P/N 2931199916. Called Dometic, it's obsolete. The Rep at Dometic said the last known good part number was 2931199026 what ever that means. I ordered two universal locking latches and with any luck they will fit or cover the existing screw holes. I've been searching the web with no luck. The plastic locking tab broke on some rough road in Jersey. I'm going to do a "MacGyver" and try to fabricate a piece from metal.

I have a similar issuer with my Dometic door latch. I realize this was a project you fixed some 2 or so years ago. I am fortunate enough to have found another old 3804 with a good latch and I am trying to figure out how to get it off without having to simply swap the doors. Is there a screw hidden somewhere I am not seeing? Any help would be appreciated.
