I cut one of those blue colored filter elements to size such that it covers the entire opening behind the louvered door; basically wedges into place with the door open and then I close the door on it. I believe that the wind dynamics between SOME tow vehicles (not all are affected) and the Airstream cause turbulance which buffets the louvered door, blowing out the flame.
