Dometic turns off on LP when towing

Dear A/S family,

Had a chance to pull off a great trip with the kids before they went back to school(1800 miles). My fridge(2004 safari w/SO) when parked works fine either in ac or gas mode. Recently when towing the fridge turns off. I am constantly checking the status when I gas up. I can reset the button and it starts up. But when I check on it down the road it's off again. Help? Thanks!

Perhaps you need a baffle? A lot of times the wind blows it out ... there are other threads about this too ... Wendy

I agree; had the same problem with my 2002 ASCL 31'. I cut one of those blue colored filter elements to size such that it covers the entire opening behind the louvered door; basically wedges into place with the door open and then I close the door on it. It has not affected the cooling of the refigerator at all.

I believe that the wind dynamics between SOME tow vehicles (not all are affected) and the Airstream cause turbulance which buffets the louvered door, blowing out the flame.
