I recently removed my Dometic RM 77, and was wondering what the proper way to dispose of it is. I tried doing a search, but was unsuccessful. Thank you for your information.
I would ask your local town or county. That's who looks after that mind of thing here...
ps: is it defective? Those things cost so much, there might be a market for a used one, working or not. I have seen new kits advertised to replace the entire cooling unit.

If there is no one who wants to buy it, you could take it to a metal scrapyard. They buy metal by the pound and recycle it. You won't get much for it but at least it stays out of a landfill.
